Licence terms

Buying a pack gives you a personal, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the prompts. You do not acquire ownership of the prompts themselves, and the licence covers one person.

You may

• Use the prompts for your own work, personal or commercial, with no limit on volume
• Use them on work you deliver to clients, and charge for that work
• Edit and adapt the prompts for your own use
• Keep and use any output the prompts help you produce: that output is yours
• Store your copy in your own tools: Notion, Obsidian, a private repo, a snippet manager

You may not: redistribution in any form

This is the one restriction that matters, so it is spelled out rather than left to interpretation. You may not:

• ✗ Resell, sublicense, rent or give away the prompt files, in whole or in any substantial part
• ✗ Publish the prompts anywhere others can obtain them: a website, blog, course, membership, newsletter, video, public or shared repository, file-sharing service, or another product
• ✗ Share your download link, or forward the delivery email, to anyone outside the seats you have bought
• ✗ Circulate the files inside a company, team, client organisation or community beyond your own single-seat use
• ✗ Repackage, reformat, translate or lightly reword the prompts and distribute the result
• ✗ Use the prompts to train a model, or to build a competing prompt library, template set or prompt marketplace
• ✗ Remove or obscure the licence notice or any order reference included with the files
• ✗ Use the prompts for anything unlawful, or to produce content designed to deceive or harm

Sharing what you made with a prompt is always fine: an email you sent, a post you published, a report you wrote. The restriction is on circulating the prompts themselves.

Seats and teams

A standard purchase covers one person. If several people in your organisation will use the prompts, you need a team licence: contact us with the number of seats and we will send a quote and a single invoice.

Updates

Updates and revisions to a pack you own are included at no extra cost, for as long as Prompt Packs operates. The same licence terms apply to updated versions.

Ownership of output

Anything you generate using these prompts belongs to you, subject to the terms of the AI service you use. Prompt Packs claims no rights over your output and does not see it. The prompts are files, and nothing you type into your assistant passes through us.

No warranty on results

The prompts are tested tools, not guaranteed outcomes. AI assistants can produce inaccurate output regardless of how well a prompt is written, so review anything you intend to send, publish or rely on. See our terms of service for the full position on liability.

How the restriction is enforced

Every purchase gets its own single-use download link, tied to that order. A link that has been used cannot be used again, so a forwarded link gives the recipient nothing, and tells us which order it came from.

Where we find packs being redistributed, we ask for the copy to be taken down, and follow up with the host or platform if it is not. The prompts are original work protected by copyright; distributing them without permission is an infringement, not a grey area.

Ending the licence

The licence is perpetual unless you breach it, most obviously by redistributing the files. If that happens the licence ends immediately, no refund is due, and any continued use is an infringement of copyright. The licence also ends if your order is refunded, at which point you should delete your copies.
